Review with Menu and Map

The Goring Dining Room delivers on being traditional British without being outdated. Perhaps the best version of Beef Wellington in town and has a signature version of the classic royal family favorite, Eggs Drumkilbo.

The Goring Dining Room, like the Goring Hotel where it is located, is a rarity. In a world where international chains dominate, finding hotels and restaurants that can deliver on luxury while maintaining a semblence of personal identity is rare.

The Goring Dining Room delivers on both counts. It embodies what is traditionally British yet has managed to update the ambiance and cuisine to assure that everything it delivers is still relevant. This restaurant is home to the best Beef Wellington in town and offers a signature version of Eggs Drumkilbo, a lobster and hard-boiled egg salad that’s frequently found on menus at special royal breakfast and brunches.

Service is impeccable.

The menu is a bit pricey but not exceedingly so for ambiance and execution of a gourmet menu of ths caliber. Here’s something a bit rare. The restaurant is open 24 hours, seven days a week and offers an array of traditional breakfast items. The restaurant also offers afternoon tea. The restaurant has a charming open-air terrace overlooking lush gardens.

The Dining Room at the Goring is an ideal destination for locals seeking that special morning, afternoon or evening out and certainly a prime destination for city visitors wanting to get a good feel for a meal that’s truly British.
