Nusr-et – Istanbul

Nusr-et – Istanbul

Turkish chef, Nusret Gökçe, turned his Turkish-based steakhouse, Nusr-et, into an international restaurant dynasty with locations from Dubai to London. The steaks are pricey, but undoubtedly the best bet for a slab of grilled beef in Istanbul. The décor in all of the locations is upscale. The restaurant in closest proximity to major hotels is the restaurant inside the city’s central grand bazaar, the Kapali Çarsi.

Cafe Firuz

Cafe Firuz

Café Firuz is the only restaurant making our short list of published reviews in Istanbul’s Cihanger neighborhood. The restaurant opens at 8:00 am, offering a customary Turkish breakfast or your choice of several western breakfast favorites, including omelets, French toast, and crêpes. Also one of the best places in the city for western pop-culture items, from burgers to pizza.
