Le Salzgries Paris – Vienna

Le Salzgries Paris – Vienna

Le Salzgries Paris is Vienna’s best, and arguably only, French dining experience. The menu is seafood-centric but offers other classic French dishes as well, including escargot, a foie gras terrine and a variety of French pastries and desserts, including a perfectly executed chocolate soufflé. Ambience is upscale but unassuming and comfortable. The service was spot-on and the most hospitable of any restaurant we visited in our five weeks in Vienna resulting in a rare 5-stars for service.

Zazatam – Vienna

Zazatam – Vienna

Zazatam is new on the dining scene in Vienna. It boasts a sleek and sexy décor with the most interesting and diverse international menu in Vienna. From tamales to a Smores marshmallow pie. And it’s surprisingly inexpensive. Undoubtedly the best value for upscale dining in Vienna.

Clementine – Vienna

Clementine – Vienna

Clementine is the casual dining option in the Vienna’s Palais Coburg hotel. We’re not big fans of hotel restaurants but this one has a delightful ambiance in the hotel’s garden area. The big glass greenhouse in which the indoor dining is located is just about as pleasant as sitting out the garden and the better choice during late fall and winter. Although the a la carte menu for lunch and dinner and the breakfast combos are a bit pricey, ordering breakfast a la carte is a value. Two eggs scrambled with bacon and cheese is a value at just 7 euros.
